Emberiza citrinella (Yellowhammer)
The yellowhammer (Emberiza citrinella) is a bunting of open farmland and hedges. The male has a bright yellow head and underparts and a streaked brown back; the female is paler. It eats seeds, and its song is often written as “a little bit of bread and no cheese”. We have only a few photos so far.
