Spinus spinus (Eurasian Siskin)
The Eurasian siskin (Spinus spinus) is a small yellow-green finch with black-and-yellow wings; the male also has a black cap and bib. It feeds on the seeds of alder, birch and conifers, often hanging acrobatically in the twigs, and visits feeders in winter and spring. The photos here are from March and April 2024.
